Hey Travel Tribe!
Buckle up because I just had the most epic weekend in Savannah, Georgia, and I can't wait to spill all the details. Joined by my sister and a best friend, we embarked on a journey filled with beach vibes, tantalizing tacos, spirited adventures, and amazing drinks. Let me walk you through our unforgettable Savannah escapade.
Friday Fun on Tybee Island: Sand, Sea, and Sips
Our weekend commenced with a road trip straight to Tybee Island. The sun was shining, the waves were calling, and we couldn't resist the allure of the beach. After soaking up some sun and salty air, we strolled along the shore, and took some pictures. The beach is my happy places so I was breathing in every moment.
Next stop, Savannah Tequila Company! A toast to the weekend with margaritas in hand set the perfect tone. The vibrant atmosphere and refreshing drinks primed us for the adventures that lay ahead. I had a cucumber breeze margarita. This is my go-to for this restaurant! It is so refreshing and yummy!
Dinner called, and Statesboro answered. We headed to meet some friends of ours! So, we headed to Del Sur! The food was amazing with chips and salsa and all types of tacos. I had the Ahi Tuna taco while Bailey ate a Philly cheese steak taco! We of course had to have their margs which is what they are known for! The hospitality and flavors were beyond compare, making it a delightful stop on our journey.
We were blessed enough to get to stay with our friends, so we saved money on a hotel!
Saturday Shenanigans in Downtown Savannah: Tacos, Shopping, and Ghostly Encounters
Saturday dawned with the promise of exploring Downtown Savannah. Our first order of business? Lunch at my absolute favorite spot, Bull Street Taco. Tacos and margaritas fueled us for the day, and the vibrant street vibes of Savannah set the stage for adventure.
Our abode for the night was Hotel Indigo on Bay Street—a chic haven perfectly situated for our downtown exploration. After checking in, we indulged in a complimentary drink at the hotel bar—a great start to our evening.
Shopping ensued on the charming streets, with boutiques and our favorite...Lululemon and Urban Outfitter shops beckoning us to splurge a little. Electric Moon became our refuge for a drink, and we watched the Christmas Parade from the outdoor patio of Electric Moon.
Next up, Jenn and Friends Martini Bar for a heavenly S'mores Martini. Picture toasted marshmallow perfection in a glass—need I say more? The night took a thrilling turn as we ventured to the Savannah Ghost Pirates hockey game. Front-row seats, a raucous crowd, and a competitive match against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits—pure exhilaration! Post-game, we strolled back to the heart of downtown.
Sorry Charlie's was our oyster haven, and their Christmas drink was the perfect festive touch. Barrel House, a lively country bar, and Saddlebags kept the party going into the late hours. Fuel for the journey home came in the form of Five Guys—a late-night feast before hitting the hay.
Sunday Farewell: Homeward Bound with Hearts Full of Memories
Sunday morning arrived, and with a tinge of reluctance, we bid farewell to the enchanting streets of Savannah. The weekend had been a whirlwind of sun-soaked shores, mouthwatering eats, and spirited revelry—an escapade etched in our hearts forever.
Savannah, you stole a piece of our souls, and we can't wait to return for another round of your Southern charm.
Until the next adventure,
