Hey Lovelies!
Guess who recently experienced the most amazing girls night out? That's right, yours truly, and my adorable 7-year-old bestie, Jaxen! Brace yourselves for a journey through fondue dreams and a Disney on Ice spectacle that left us having a fabulous time and creating some amazing memories!
The Tradition: Started 3 Years Ago
About 4 years ago, I noticed that Disney on Ice would be in Greenville. Me being me and LOVING Disney, just had to go. I did not want to attend by myself as an adult so I wanted to take a kid along! So I called up my good friend Amy and asked her if I could take her daughter, Jaxen, with me. She did not hesitate to say yes and we have been going over the past 3 years around Thanksgiving. I ask Jaxen every year if we will do it again next year and her response is always "duh this is a me and you thing forever and ever!"
Fondue Dreams at The Melting Pot: Lily's First Dessert Adventure!
Our adventure began with a trip to The Melting Pot in Greenville, SC. Now, this was not my first time at the Melting Pot, but this was Jaxen's first dip (literally) into the world of melted chocolate dreams. The joy on her face when she saw the chocolate fondue set-up was priceless.
-
Deciding on Dippables:
- We had an array of treats to dip into that gooey chocolate goodness—strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, you name it. The delight in Jaxen's eyes as she carefully chose her dippables was enough to warm any heart.
-
Chocolate Wonderland:
- As the chocolate was brought, Jaxen was in awe. The first dip was a moment of pure bliss, and I couldn't help but capture the joy on her face.
-
Sweet Tooth Satisfaction:
- The sweetness didn't end there. We savored every bite, sharing stories and creating memories over the delectable fondue. The Melting Pot truly set the stage for a night of indulgence and delight.
Disney on Ice: A Magical Journey Beyond Imagination!
With our dessert cravings satisfied, we headed to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena for the main event—Disney on Ice! Jaxen's eyes sparkled with anticipation, and I couldn't wait to witness the magic with her! Every year the show is a bit different so we were excited to see!
-
Feast Fit for a Princess:
- Before the show, we fueled up with some classic arena snacks. I had the buffalo chicken sliders and Jaxen had chicken fingers with fries! The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as families settled into their seats, and we were ready for the enchantment to unfold.
-
The Disney Merchandise Extravaganza:
- But first, the obligatory stop at the merchandise booth. Jaxen's eyes widened at the array of Disney goodies. After some contemplation, she chose the perfect souvenir—an Elsa diary with an Ana pen...if you can't tell she LOVES Frozen.
- The Olaf Ice
- Before we could finally get settled in, Jaxen just had to have an icy in an Olaf souvenir cup that we get every year. Every year she also says it is the best icy she has ever had.
-
Curtain Up, Magic On:
- As the lights dimmed, and the first notes of familiar Disney tunes filled the air, I couldn't help but get swept away in the magic of Disney on Ice. From classic characters to modern favorites, the performance was a dazzling spectacle of skating artistry and storytelling.
-
Let It Go Moment:
- Of course, the highlight was the Frozen segment. Jaxen belted out "Let It Go" along with Elsa, and I couldn't help but join in. It was a moment of pure joy and connection, and I felt like a kid again.
In Conclusion: Cherishing Every Magical Moment
As the final curtain fell, and we made our way back home, I couldn't help but reflect on the joy of sharing these magical moments with Jaxen. From fondue dreams to Disney on Ice, it was a date night filled with laughter, sugary delights, and the kind of magic that only Disney can bring.
Here's to the beauty of embracing our inner child and creating memories that last a lifetime! A tradition that will never get old!
With love and fairy-tale dreams!
All the best,
